See/Hear/Feel: Serving others

Volunteer Matching

One of the best ways to get out of your own suffering is to help someone else with theirs.

No need to fix it. Just help. Just listen. Just support. When I realized that serving people with no arms or legs, I didn’t have it as bad as I thought. Not minimizing my pain or maximizing theirs or vice versa. Just realizing, that people are suffering in all kinds of ways. Many of them in ways very different from mine. It helped me realize that while I was suffering, suffering take many forms and I was grateful for being able to walk, and run and bike. It became gratitude practice. #JustGrateful
